Riise Studio is a design studio in Aalborg, founded by Lars Riise and Caroline Kjærsgaard Goth, working with complete interior solutions for private homes. Their approach treats the home as one connected whole, where lighting, architecture and materials are thought through together. For V.15, a full renovation of a classic villa’s first floor, that thinking is visible in a single quiet decision: the same lamp in every room.
Our DONYA Ceiling Spots in browned brass runs through the entire floor, from the entrance hall to the bathroom to the walk-in wardrobe. By day the spots read as small brass details against the ceiling. After dark they carry the rooms. And because the fixture repeats, the light itself becomes part of the home’s continuity.
The finish does the rest. Browned brass is treated by hand in our Rødovre workshop, so every lamp has its own tone, and it patinates as the home is lived in. In V.15 the brass returns in the shower fittings and cabinet hardware, one material running through the whole floor. For a studio that builds its practice on materials made to last for decades, a living finish is a natural companion.
