In the heart of Copenhagen, interior studio RUE VERTE has shaped a secondary home as a place where the pace slows down. The building dates from 1879, and the interior honours that history while introducing a calm, contemporary atmosphere. Soft tonal colours, tactile materials and bespoke pieces sit alongside vintage finds and art.

In the kitchen, DONYA Spots follow the ceiling in a discreet line. The browned brass cylinders sit against the pale plaster, directing light where it is needed and leaving the room itself undisturbed. The kitchen is designed by Hangar5, and the darkened cabinetry and travertine worktop meet the fixtures in the same restrained register.
In the bedroom, the DONYA Table rests on a leather side table. Its opal glass sphere holds the light softly, giving the room a warm, low glow in the evening, while the hallway features DONYA Pivot Triple gathers with three adjustable heads on a single canopy. Each head turns independently, so the light can be directed across the space as the room asks for it.
Every DONYA is made by hand in our workshop in Rødovre. The browned brass is a living surface. It patinates over time, and in a home built to be lived in for years, the lamps will age alongside it.
